Political Manifesto
of the
Movement for Racial Unity and Political Change
Supporters of the Movement for Racial Unity and Political Change are Guyanese patriots that are committed to undertake plausible civic initiatives to reclaim their land of birth- The Cooperative Republic of Guyana (February 23, 1970), from a racist and dictatorial PPP regime, which continues to rule by exploiting racial fears and marginalizing Afro-Guyanesecitizens. We are a non-partisan collective of concerned nationals who are determined to do everything possible to assure our destiny is not vested in a Soviet trained DICTATOR-Bharrat Jagdeo and his criminal enterprise-The PPP/C.
The Movement for Racial Unity and Political Change wants a civil society free of racial intolerance, a country in which citizens can live out its motto: ONE PEOPLE ONE NATION ONE DESTINY, a society completely purged of DRUG LORDS and criminal gangs of rapacious thugs spare-headed by politicians, a PPP regime of henchmen that have turned Guyana into a private preserve of unscrupulous exploitation, money laundering, a narco-economy permitting the trafficking of illicit drugs and people- using Guyana as a point of transshipment to North America and beyond, employing a strategy of racial insecurity to perpetuate ethnic separateness by demagoguing Afro-Guyanese as lazy and criminal minded people that prey on East Indians and coveting their wealth.
The Movement for Racial Unity and Political Change is by no means a subversive attempt to overthrow the government, but a response to the blatant aggression of the PPP government for eliminating (summarily executing) about 400 Afro-Guyanese males using phantom death squads- paramilitary groups masquerading as law enforcement officials and guardians of citizens from criminal gangs. We call attention to the endemic practice of economic terrorism and systematic violation of human rights and democratic freedoms. We believe that a new socio-political paradigm must be introduced, one rooted in democratic principles and taking into account the uniqueness of our society and residual corollary of African enslavement and East Indian indentured laborers.
Our struggle is not intended for or expected to be waged individually but rather, as an informal collective comprising people of different convictions, religious beliefs and ethnicity all linked by the desire to reverse the socio-political and economic morass in Guyana. We intend to pursue the idea of civic involvement using every means at our disposal and culminating when victory is accomplished. Indeed Guyanese, like peace keeping people everywhere seek no more than to have their human rights and dignity protected by a caring and vigilant government.
Citizens from coast to coast irrespective of ethnic group or social status have had enough of the PPP and its seventeen years of mediocre governance. Guyanese rightly deserve better and we should not accept anything less but politicians with impeccable credentials that are prepared to make the requisite sacrifices for the advancement of our country.
Yes, there are reasons why people of conscience regardless of race and political affiliation, begin organizing and agitating for a FREE and JUST Guyana. It is your patriot duty to become militant- get off your fannies and join with brothers and sisters in defiance of ruthless and uncompromising henchmen led by a Hitler reincarnate.
Yes, there are numerous reasons why Guyanese at home and in the Diaspora are incensed with this incompetent PPP regime and call for immediate acts of peaceful protests denouncing all politicians not withstanding their party affiliation. We must take back our country and deal harshly with the soup drinkers, political yard-fowls, opposition appeasers and lackeys of this regime. They must be arrested and charged for crimes against humanity, atrocities perpetrated by these demonic, ruthless and unscrupulous degenerates (politicians and so-called businessmen) and answerable in an international court. We cannot allow the sale of Guyana's natural resources by embezzlers purporting to be political leaders. Because of mismanagement and cronyism, Guyanese are forced to flee the country in record numbers to seek asylum in societies near and far. This regime has obfuscated its fiduciary responsibilities for creating a business climate that permits able-bodied people to seek and find gainful employment and living in ways commensurate with civilized societies around the world. Our nationals have been abandoned and are now subjected to exploitation and humiliation- rounded up like cattle in the dark of night and deported without due process. Such gross dereliction of responsibilities inherent in the compact between government and citizenry warrants vociferous condemnation from all quarters.
Yes, there are reasons why this PPP regime must be held accountable for Roger Khan's criminal activities in Guyana since 2002. Too many citizens for too long have lived in fear and endured an inordinate amount of pain, suffering and deprivation as a consequence of the ongoing DRUG WAR in our country. There is widespread chatters that the names of several high ranking government officials and even opposition members are included in classified documents, expected for release after Guyana's primary drug baron is sentenced in a US court later this summer. During the pre-trial, Khan admitted to several violations of US law inter alia drug trafficking and conspiring with others to import illegal drugs. In other related incidences, Khan has been linked to at least one murder and being in possession of illegal spy equipment.
Yes, there are numerous reasons why Guyanese everywhere are opposed to the PPP and blame this cabal for the precipitous decline in the quality of life. Citizens are compelled to survive in dehumanizing and squalor living conditions while members of this regime and their cohorts feed with gluttony from the public trough.
This uncaring and despicable group of PPP infidels is unperturbed whether citizens live in shacks without running water and reliable electricity. Whether pregnant mothers must die in child's birth due to lack of proper hospital care. Whether school age children out of necessity must take to the streets begging and engaged in prostitution for their daily sustenance and detest going to school. Illiteracy among our youths as well as the adult population is unprecedented in the history of Guyana. Just as alarming is the high rate of juvenile delinquency, increased drug use, teenage pregnancy and violent crimes committed by young people. These developments are disturbing if not nauseating as you contemplate the future of this current generation and their possible contribution in Guyana's transformation in an ever advancing digitalized global community.
Yes, there are numerous reasons why citizens irrespective of race, social status or political affiliation are angry and appalled with this good-for-nothing group of gangster that have turned a deaf ear and blind eye to deteriorating infrastructures, a capital city with garbage piled up everywhere emitting offensive odors. A public cemetery in such awful conditions that the dead now share a habitat with animals, which appear to rival the various species once seen in such splendor only at the Georgetown Zoo. The spread of HIV/AIDS is definitely a major concern and still remains a serious public health issue. No more school children should die by drowning in outdoor latrines or the carnage on thoroughfares persist because un-inspected vehicles and unlicensed drivers continue to operate their vehicles without regards to public safety. It is absurd and definitely lamentable that citizens looking for a better quality life are constrained to survive in society where public lawlessness has become a norm. Constrained by a myriad of social, political and economic impediments, many citizens have resigned themselves to a life of hopelessness. How and why did our nation reach to this point of despair and bewilderment? Certainly, the discovery of mutilated bodies strewn around various communities, the massacres at Lusignam, Bartica and Lindo Creek were sober forms of intimidation even for bold and courageous citizens. Guyanese this is our hour of reckoning to renounce a PPP regime that is decadent, devoid of an ethical or moral compass and oblivious to their sworn oath to uphold the constitution.
Yes, there are numerous reasons for public angst, disenchantment and resentment as we witness the appalling degeneracy of a society, once thought of as the food basket of the Caribbean. Today, Guyanese in the Diaspora with heavy hearts and mixed emotions remain passive observers as amplified cries of hungry children reverberate from dark and insect infested shacks around the country, despondent mothers repressing their frustrations and irate husbands- men generally venting their anguish by resorting to abusive and aggressive behavior, which too often engendered lethal consequences.
Yes, there are reasons why Guyanese are mad and infuriated because this regime has systematically engaged in calculated acts to marginalize Afro-Guyanese: By removing state funding to Critchlow Labour College preventing the predominantly Black student body, opportunities to pursue higher education at the University of Guyana and other similar institutions. By undermining through deliberate procedures the destruction of the bauxite workers pension fund, which was the single largest pool of money available to Afro-Guyanese. By allowing Globe Trust Bank to collapse and jeopardizing the savings of the majority accounts owned by African descendants.By surreptitiously supporting activities of East Indian groups in Toronto, Canada and the Indian Arrival Committee (IAC) the cultural arm of the PPP, with efforts to deny academic expression to UWI lecturer, Dr. Kean Gibson. By unlawfully imprisoning Mark Benschop on trumped-up charges and allowing him to languish in solitary confinement for five years. Upon his release, a young Afro-Guyanese son was emotionally devastated to publicly acknowledge that being in jail caused the break up of his marriage and family life. By incarcerating former GDF officer Oliver Hinckson on false charges of sedition. By failing to persecute known criminals that assassinated well-known journalist Mr. Ronald Waddel and the extra judicial killing of Yohanse Douglas, a University of Guyana student and his friends by rogue cops.
The aforementioned iteration is pathetically true. Today, in Guyana Afro-Guyanese have been reduced to living in a society where ethnic and racial discrimination, torture and human rights violations are pervasive. The PPP regime continues to ignore their plight while castigating dedicated leaders that expose societal deficiencies, racial inequities and this regime's strategy of economic terrorism-labeling them racists and subversive- anarchists plotting against the state.
The citizens of Buxton on the East Coast of Demerara, predominantly of African descent took up arms not only to neutralized the criminal thugs that had infested the community but had to survive within a village, which had become a fortress of heavily armed police and soldiers. The presence of these menacing combatants was intimidating to say the least and for the most part created resentment and outraged from citizens attempting to go about their daily chores. The village of Buxton, where many educators and other professional people were born has now been stigmatized as a sanctuary of criminals, albeit Black hooligans racially prejudiced to East Indians. This label successfully created by a regime that wanted to reinforce the racial-divide in our country.
Guyanese now live in a society controlled by a narcotic cabal determined to retain power at all cost. We call upon patriots that suffered under this nefarious regime to take to the streets and by all means necessary participate in a noble struggle. You can be reassured as the day of reckoning draws nigh our victory will not and cannot de denied.
Workers of Guyana, only you know the extent of your suffering and dehumanization by this corrupt and anti-democratic regime, do not wait for a specific organization or armchair politicians to lead you in protest. Take to the streets and if necessary die with dignity fighting for a better society where your posterity could enjoy human rights in a just and progressive country. "Our labor in factory, office and field will give us the prosperity we all deserve…Unmoved by distraction, prejudice and racial enmity.Together we'll strive for our nation's aspiration, imbued with goodwill and respect for each other."
Make this struggle a revolution of individuals that are fixated on retaking communities, districts and regions from Pakaraima's peaks to Corentyne's lush sands.
"…We pledge our allegiance as onward we go, united together our strength we will show and build a new Guyana, a land of renown. We love you, Guyana, blessed may you be, our flags we will honor, our motto uphold; inspired by our leaders our destiny we'll mould and proudly face the future- undaunted are we."
Lets us cooperate for Guyana
Let us resolve to fight together
Can we do it? Yes we can!
Long live Guyanese and may God bless Guyana!
Long live the Revolution for a Just Guyana!
Long live the Movement for Racial Unity and Political Change!
